Small freebie and constructive day

Today I decided to turn all the phones off and concentrated on getting all my "loose ends" and little jobs sorted out.. WOW, I actually got a lot done today..LOL.. Tomorrow is a public holiday and Tuesday as well so of course that means it's a very long weekend.. My son is on his way to his grandparents for the whole weekend, there wasn't much space left in the car once he had packed in all the fishing gear..LOL.. So we are "home alone", LOL. It's these few times together that I treasure as they are few and far between and we already have plans for going out for lunch tomorrow..YIPPEEE...hahahahaha. I made a little freebie for you as I was playing around with Atomic cupcake actions..( heehee, I play and you get the results).. they are photo prongs (but I think the correct word is "curls") but it sounded strange..LOL. I got another LO from Babette today.. she has just started digi-scrapping and WOW she is doing a fantastic job! Keep it up girl and YES it is very addictive!!! LOL.

She used the "spring freebie kit" and took the photo's herself!! I saw the "plain prongs" and decided the flower ones would be a nice add on...hahaha.

At the moment I am still "sorting out" all my stuff to load to my store at DSO, and hopefully by tonight I will have my first one in a folder...LOL. Remember that EVERY FRIDAY Digital-scrapbooking.org has a "bargain bin"... EVERYTHING in it is just 99c!. It's changed every week so go and have a look here, because at that price they are nearly freebie's ..LOL. Hair pulling day

Frustration SUPREME!!! hahahaha.. I've done absolutely no work today.. how sad is that! Well no designing anyway.. and to me that's SAD..hahaha. It's been one of those days when you want to hide under the bed and hope no-one finds you..teehee. I had hospital duty this morning( I volunteer at out local hospital) and that I had planned for, then when I got home my best friend popped in for 'coffee" and umm a haircut..(yeah I also do that but only for family and close friends)..and then the phone rang off the hook.....by then it was time to fetch my son from school.. who broke the whole sole of his shoe off!! So it was to the shops to buy school shoes! And he had better start growing to match his foot size..lol(he is still short), we battled to find any in his size (2 sizes bigger than his dad already). Eventually made it home and tried to connect to blogger... and my server was "up to ....beep beep"..LOL. It's taken me almost 2 hours to eventually get on!! So while pulling my hair out hubby kindly offered to cook on the grill outside...hahahahahaha. He wanted to watch the Cricket World Cup as South Africa is playing against Australia( old rivals)... but it's going so badly I think he is quite happy to stand outside at this stage.....LOL.

Well I've vented now and as you can see by "my time" today I havent managed to put a freebie together for you today but I do have a LO by Babette who so kindly sent me a link to her LO she did in my Rich Delights kit.. Don't you think she has done a AWESOME job on this.. It is sooo amazing how everyone 's looks so different yet it's the same kit.. Want to know a secret?...hahahaha, I'm now officially a designer at

Digital-scrapbooking.org!! WOW, I actually didn't quite expect it to happen so soon,I'm still pinching my arm..hahahahaha, I've had to keep quiet and "bite the bullet" for almost a week now and it's been soooo hard..hahahaha. I am OVER the MOON about it. As you all know Digi scrapping and designing has become a passion for me.. I absolutely can't get enough of creating and it's because of people like you that come and pop in and download my freebies and then leave those encouraging comments that all this has happened! So thank you, and I'm sending you all a huge hug! My store is not up and running yet as I have just finished signing the doc's and doing all the other "things" that needed to be done to make it official, but it will be soon..hahaha.

I will obviously still be doing my freebies.. I could NEVER stop that.. it's just my way of "paying it forward" for all the downloads etc I did when I first started Digi.

Monday, and I hope it hasn't been a blue one for you.. It's been a super duper sunny warm day here and I feel like I should have spent more time outside...LOL.. you know that "little guilt trip" about missing out on the "fresh air and warmth" when you know it's going to get chilly SOON. Well I do.. not looking forward to the winter at all.. It's COLD...hahahahahaha. Mind you there is nothing nicer than a cup of hot chocolate snuggled under the blanket watching a good movie or reading a good book. LO's with my kits

It's Sunday evening at the moment here and it is soooo quiet in the house..LOL. The boys have been fishing again and Hubby has been doing some DIY around the house.(might just rain tomorrow...hahahaha) He's fixing everything that has been "sort of left" for the last couple of months and now spent the whole weekend doing it all and more..hahahahaha. That's his usual "routine" and I'm just sooo glad to have a light working outside our backdoor again..LOL. Well as promised I have three LO's that have been done with my freebies.. Friends request

Friday..phew, another week gone and it's a stunning day outside. I'm late today as I dropped my son off to go fishing.. he couldn't have asked for a better day.. no wind, and it's still warm even though it's evening. His "family" birthday supper went off well, it always does..LOL, with everyone talking at once, teasing and lots of laughter! I love those evenings when the family get together and we haven't seen each other for a while. I think if anyone came in they would be shocked at the noise...hahahahaLOL. Choas in Capital letters!

Today I made something for my dear friend Shelby who I have mentioned here before. She drew a "tattoo" that she wanted to get done but of course with her cancer that isn't an option anymore so she asked me if I could make it into a "little embellishment" for her. Shelbz I made the paper clip and few other odds and ends for you. I hope you like them. She gave me permission to share it with everyone so this is something "sentimental" and special that I am sharing with you today...

Its 4 papers.. (1 charcoal textured, 1 light grey textured, Shelby's purple print paper and a light purple print paper) png tattoo print to use where you want, a brad, grossgrain ribbon and of course the paperclip. On the run

A quick posting today just to say "Hi". It's my son's 16th Birthday today so it's a little bit hectic...lol, Got the family coming over soon for dinner and I've got to start preparing everything now..(should have been an hour ago already..lol). but I wanted to share a LO I did for him with a template by Tracey Drane.. I just loved the journalling on it and just "said all I wanted to say".

A little gift

Oh my goodness, I have had such a great response to this kit, I am SOOO glad you all loved it so much..heehee, cause I do to. I thinks it's my favourite so far..(well African Sunsets come's in a close second..LOL).. It's the embellishments that I love making and "harder" they are to make the more I enjoy it...lol, sounds wierd I know, but it's the challenge that I love..(keeps the grey matter active)..and we not talking about "hair" here girls...LOL. And while we are on Challenges, have you been over to Digital Scrapbooking /DSO? They have a new Monthly Challenge on for April and have some SUPER gifts for all that enter any of the challenges .. not only that but you can get a HUGE kit for free if you finish all of the Challenges by the 25th April.. so time is running short....hahahaha, The LO below was done for their "template" challange.. great template and had fun doing it.. thanks Dorothy!

The template is in "tall letter" format and is a nice change to the usual "square". The kit I used here was Limetea by Nancie Rowe Janitz. And I think my "goodfriends" are going to "kill" me again for pasting their photo's here again...hahahahaLOL. There was a Comment left here yesterday by a Lady who called herself "H", I don't know your name, but because you were soooooo excited about finding my kit and it being the colours of your wedding, and it being your 5th wedding Anniversary, I decided to make you this little gift to add to your "Anniversary" album. You want them?.... LOL.. thanks for all the amazing comments on the "Rich Delights" kit.. WOW. Looks like we all like "rich" stuff...hahahaha. I seem to have a knack of when shopping always picking up the MOST expensive pair of shoes, dress or what ever from a shelf!! How does that happen.?.... then I choke when I see the price and slowly put it down again..LOL.. Hubby has a good giggle at me when he comes with..( hahaha, yeah a man who actually enjoys shopping).. and say's I've just got good taste...LOL, (more like expensive..teehee) But it's not often that I "indulge" in "retail therapy" for myself, and seem to spend more on the "men" in my house as well as on my family. But put me in an Art shop or Cd store and well the "cards" smoke...LOL.

Freebie and "more me"

Don' t you feel like time is running away....LOL, I can't believe we are in the middle of April already! My son turns 16 this month and it just made me "reflect" this weekend on just how fast the years have flown. And now I have a full fledged teenager on my hands....LOL.. Don't know how long I'll be able to keep the greys at bay now..hahahahaha. (note to self: need to increase hairdresser's fund)...hahahaha. Nathan goes back to school tomorrow so we are doing the "haircut", check the uniform, shoes and bag's etc....hahahaLOL. He is growing so fast that he is going through a pair of shoes every three months!! On the "Scrapping side" I was listed by "digi debz" on her freebie list.. Freebie, Friday and a Fab day

Yay yay it's Friday...hahaha, what a wonderful day it has been here.. sun shining, no wind and to top it all off,, EVERYTHING is now DRY...LOL, My Dad is also looking soooo much better today so it has been a good one. I'm running a little late with my post today as my server just seemed to be on a "go slow" lol.. It took Forever to load up the freebie for today.. Did you see my new "blinkie"... Where has the day gone???

This week so far is turning into a bit of a nightmare.. LOL.. my outside yard looked like a squatter camp today.. I think if anyone could see into our yard from the street they would have stopped to look twice! Mattress's and cushions,pillows, blankets, rugs and carpets were strewn everywhere there was a bit of sun ....hahahaha, it looked a MESS.. but at least it's dry now and the windows and doors in the house have been wide open to try dry up the rest! Out ceiling in two of the rooms will have to be replaced but the damage isn't that bad.. well, I don't think so.. Hubby was saying words that even made me blush..LOL.

I also had my dad at the doctor's, x-ray's and then back to the doctors today so my time has not been my own.. so I'm sooo sorry there is no freebie today.. I just havent had the time to put something together for you. I have done a LO with a "sneak peak" at Julie Clarks new "mothers day" kit that will be in the Scrapbookmax store really soon.

This is of my "best friend" who I called "MOM", she was both to me and this photo was taken on Christmas Eve '04, (5 months before she passed away). And even though she was so ill, she danced and laughed like there was no tomorrow.. A lesson that I will never forget, and one that I pass on as much as possable.. enjoy every minute of the "now", there might never be a "next time"..

I didn't mean to get all "heavy" on you..LOL, but I loved her dearly and miss her tons too. Chaos reigns..

It never rains but it pours...LOL, well that's what I was thinking earlier on today.. heard water dripping and thought it had started raining.. ran to go get the washing off the line.. but NO rain.. Oh goodness, when I walked back inside the water was running out of every light fitting, down the walls, through the roof... It was POURING inside.., our geyser(which is only a year old!!!) decided to overflow and rather quickly onto the ceiling space.. Wasn't sure what to do first..LOL, turn off the electrical mains or the water.. had to phone DH and find out where the "main water supply" tap was...hahaha. Well I'm now sitting listening to drips hitting buckets..hahahaha, oh I know it's a mess and it's going to take a while to dry out, but I still think it rather funny.. ( Rain??.. I ask you..)

OOOOH and I had my first link to a LO done by tnchick using my "African Sunsets" kit... Oh that was sooooo good to see.. THANK YOU SO MUCH. This was such a quick LO today because of all the chaos, but I had to put it up or DS would have my hide..hahahaha, So it's a small freebie add on today.. Back to the "real world"

LOL... it's back the the "real world".. Holidays and Easter weekend are now over..boohoo.. hahaha, well today sure felt like a Monday and I think the rest of the week is going to be a bit hard trying to get back into routine.. ( household chores for one.. Don't you HATE them..LOL).

My DS is still on School holidays but is spending the rest of them with his grandparents.. so hubby and I still have a few nights alone..( got to go find those candles somewhere..LOL), I hope everyone had a WONDERFUL and blessed Easter.. I know I ate tooooo much and it's all we seemed to do this weekend.. I mean what is it with "family and friend " gatherings.. FOOD FOOD FOOD.. hahahaha.LOL. Will just have to play more lawn bowls and tenpin...hahahaha.

I did a quick LO of DH on out holiday on his first deep sea fishing trip. He and my son had this "rivalry thing" going the whole holiday and DH couldn't resist "rubbing in the salt" that he was the first one to land a fish and catch the most..( my son goes deepsea fishing regularly with friends.. so he was the "pro" of the trip) .. They had a ball and fell asleep the minute they got back from the trip. I made the papers etc for the Freebie today as I didn't have anything that really matched the "fishing" theme..

Happy Easter

I'm back! LOL.. What a fantastic week we've had as a family.. and time just seems to fly when you are having fun.. never seems long enough! haha.. But I must say that this holiday was one of the best we have had together.. I'm sporting a stiff A*s.. thanks to two games of lawn bowls and tooo many games of tenpin bowling..LOL.. Thought the lawn bowls would be a breeze..LOL, was I SO mistaken.. we killed ourselves laughing as our bowls landing up in other peoples greens.. don't know who laughed loudest, them or us! So after DH won the first game there was a second for "revenge" the next day.. he won that one too..LOL, I couldn't bend low enough and am still feeling the effects! hahahaha. yeah am only "computer" fit at this time and I think I need to get some exercise in somewhere.LOL. Will post the pics once I have sorted them out.. DH and DS went deep sea fishing(hey, me and the "rolling sea" don't go down well together..LOL) and I stayed on dry land and visited the casino..( but they kept my "contribution"..hahaha) then just spent the day reading my book on a lounger outside .. dozed off to be woken by a very brave monkey staring at me with my grapes in his hands...LOL, I screamed, he ran.. and then I did the usual by laughing my sides sore.. so much happened and each day was a full one. I'm just so grateful for the time we got to spend together as a family.


And on that note I want to wish everyone and their family's a blessed Easter and I hope that you can spend this time with your loved ones, oh and that the Easter Bunny spoils you rotten..LOL.

A quick hi

oh goodness, this is paradise! Just one problem.. no connectivity.., they sure want you to have a holiday that's for sure.. My mobile doesn't work at all and we have had to find what is called a "hot spot" to use the "wireless" connection.. problem is it keeps dissapearing.hahahaha,LOL. So I'm not even going to try upload anything as it will probably just crash half way.. just wanted to let everyone know that Hubby has booked us in another 2 nights.(ooooh I love being spoilt,,LOL) We have had AWSOME weather and I am even "sporting" a slight tan.
